Clubs, groups, events and activities
Opportunities abound at Warm Beach. Below is a brief overview of groups, activities and programs currently available. Each group or club plans its own programs, activities and meeting times. Some groups choose to take a break for summer months or end of year holidays. This list is by no means exhaustive, and additional special programs can be found on our Events Calendar or through our online Newsletter.

Beachwood Boys Men's Chorus
Beachwood Boys Men's Chorus meets Wednesdays at 2pm in Cedar Court Dining room from September to November, and February through May. This men's choir performs in various venues both on campus and around North Snohomish County including the Voice of Hope Benefit Event for Housing Hope held each Spring in Stanwood. Christian Advocates Men's Group
Christian Advocates Men's Group meets first and third Tuesday of each month at 8am in Beachwood Lounge. Each meeting time includes breakfast ($5 suggested donation), a devotional message, and featured guest speaker from local area ministries, not-for profit and government agencies as well as our own resident and staff. Coffee with Friends
This group meets each Thursday at 9:30am in our Eagle's View restaurant for coffee and fellowship. Participants bring homemade and purchased baked goods to share with the group.
Raised garden/planting beds are available (click title for more info). if you wish to garden in an area larger than the perimeter offered outside your home or apartment. Contact: Bud McDole for more information.
If you love making our grounds and gathering spaces beautiful for others to enjoy then this may be the group for you. Taking on a few projects each year the collective impact is one of tremendous blessing to our residents, their friends and families alike..

Handbell Choir meets 1 - 2x weekly in the Beachwood crafts room and performs multiple times each year both on and off campus.
Health & Wellness Series
Our Health & Wellness Series is a monthly forum that covers a variety of health and wellness topics. Presentations are made by doctors, therapists, and a variety of local area volunteers with subject matter experience. Meetings are generally held in Beachwood Lounge and are free for anyone in the community to enjoy. Painting with Friends
For experienced or novice alike, join us for the joy of painting. Never been an artist before? No problem! Come discover what you never knew you could do! This informal group is as much about the sharing as the painting.

Resident Council meets ever other month on the 3rd Tuesday at 2:00 pm, in Beachwood Lounge. Representatives for each neighborhood are elected. The purpose of the Resident council is to make suggestions for the enrichment of the community and to assist in their implementation; to provide a channel for residents to communicate concerns and suggestions to Administration; to assist in planning and providing direction for the social functions of the community. At each meeting there are reports from the various Resident Council Committees. President, Bud McDole.
Sandpiper's Women's Choir
Sandpiper's Women's Choir Meets Thursdays at 2pm in Beachwood Lounge. This lively, spirited choral group sings at periodic Vespers Services, Sunday Worship and other special occasions both on and off campus. Director, Bob Cathey.
Strong Seniors meets twice a week for 45 - 60 minutes. These resident led, resistance training exercises are designed to increase strength, balance and endurance using a combination of dumbbells, adjustable ankle weights and the participants own body weight. The hour includes a warm up, exercise and cool down periods.

Shopping Trips to Stanwood
Shopping Trips to Stanwood alternate between Haggen and QFC areas every Wednesday at 9am and 1pm. The shopping bus leaves from outside the Front Reception desk. There is no cost for transportation. It is advised to call ahead to the Front Receptionist to get your name on the trip roster. The bus driver will work with you to help you go to the places and businesses you need to go to, within reasonable time constraints. Front Receptionist, (360) 652-7585
Sit Aerobics meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30am in Beachwood Lounge. Resident led exercises are personalized to individual levels of capability.
Warm Beach Fellowship
Warm Beach Fellowship meets monthly and features an entertainment program and time of fellowship, as well as news about the activities of the Warm Beach Fellowship organization. The Fellowship organizes and hosts the Annual Bazaar held in November. Contributions to this group have greatly enhanced our community including the purchase of buses, equipment, and the recent remodels of our Eagle's View restaurant.

Writer's Club is a gathering of experienced and would-be writers to share their craft and gain support and tips. A collection of the group's writings, "Reflections," was published annual for several years.

Sunday Worship Service
Weekly Worship Service is an interdenominational gathering each Sunday morning at 10:30am, in Beachwood Lounge officiated by our own Chaplain, Ike Timm. This service often features guest worship leaders from area churches, visits from the Joy Emsemble, Beachwood Boys and Sandpiper's Women's Choir. Residents from our Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled nursing communities, as well as many from our nearby neighborhoods in Warm Beach and Lakewood are able to attend worship together. Volunteers are regularly needed to help bring residents to and from our Assisted living and Skilled Nursing areas.
