Our Leadership
Dedicated leaders guiding our mission with wisdom, integrity, and compassion

In the world of long-term care, some people choose a career, Gary Dewhirst answered a calling. For over 30 years, he's walked alongside older adults and their families, learning from every role and every experience. From his beginnings as a skilled nursing activity assistant to leadership roles in assisted living, memory care, adult day programs, marketing, operations, and consulting, he's ridden the tremendous tidal wave of change that continues to shape this industry.
As Executive Director of Warm Beach Senior Community, Gary is grateful to bring together his decades of experience and personal faith in a setting where mission and purpose lead the way. For him, that alignment means everything, it turns leadership into service and transforms each day's work into something deeply meaningful.
Gary and his wife, Erin are most proud of the family they have raised together and enjoy watching them with their own dreams, passions and families. When not engaged with their WBSC resident family, you can find them on a trail somewhere or on the hunt of finding great live music to soak in.

Sheila Bartlett
Community Relations Director
Hello, I'm Sheila Bartlett. I have had the privilege of being part of the Warm Beach Senior Community for 21 years. I love being a part of the residents lives and every day is new and different. Whether I am giving a tour, teaching water aerobics in the pool, shoveling snow, organizing a Veteran's program, being an auctioneer, teaching a class or being with someone as they make that final journey to heaven, it is a gift to serve others. God has me exactly where I am supposed to be.
In whatever spare time I have, I love to spend time with my husband of 40 years, three daughters and four grandchildren. Every opportunity we have to go camping and get outdoors is our favorite thing to do.

Victoria Johnson
Assisted Living Administrator
I am Victoria Johnson, I am the current Assisted Living Administrator and have been part of the Warm Beach family since October 2013. I am passionate about creating a caring, welcoming environment where residents feel respected and supported every day. I love working with my team to bring joy and quality of care to seniors, and I believe in treating everyone like family.
When I'm not at work, I cherish time with my own family, who inspire me to make Warm Beach a true home for all, and enjoy my free time vacationing in Montana.

Steve Anderson
Director of Facilities
As the Director of Facilities at Warm Beach, I'm responsible for making sure everything on campus runs smoothly...from maintenance and repairs to keeping our buildings safe and comfortable. What I love most about working here is the strong sense of community and purpose. It means a lot to know that the work I do each day helps create a welcoming, well-cared-for environment for our residents and staff.

Catherine Boland
Controller
Hello! I'm Catherine Boland. I love making sure Warm Beach Senior Community keeps accurate accounting records for our residents, staff, management, and other stakeholders. I've been in and around numbers since I was 11 helping with the family-owned businesses. I love numbers!
When I'm not busy reconciling (like doing a puzzle!), you can find me on the Camano Island trails with my two beagles, Ben and Samwise. I also have a small box tortoise, Oskelle, who is at least 40 years old! She lives in a fancy tortoise hut complete with a small pool.

Tricia Atwell
Director of Dining / Executive Chef
My name is Tricia Atwell, and I'm the Dining Services Director at Warm Beach. I began nearly 18 years ago as a server and worked my way through various roles—from baker's assistant to cook to Assistant Director—before stepping into my current position.
I'm here to help make every dining experience enjoyable. The best part of my job? The hugs, smiles, and kindness from residents who truly feel like family.
Outside of work, I'm with my kids and grandkids, especially baking with the little ones, or camping in the mountains with my husband.

Mary Ann McIntosh
Human Resources Director
Hi, I'm MaryAnn McIntosh, and I've been blessed to be a part of the WBSC team for almost 13 years, in Human Resources. I'm a certified HR professional and am passionate about helping staff so they can focus on our residents. In my role as an HR leader, I oversee recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. One important focus for me is ensuring the organization's compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, as well as with our risk management program. I am committed to creating a positive and safe work environment where every employee feels valued and respected.
When I am not at work, you'll find me tending to my vegetable and flower gardens, and hanging out with my two rescues, Jelly Bean, a Weimaraner dog, and Lei Lei, a tabby cat. I also love traveling with my husband, and most of all, spending time with my family.

Brian Ferrill
IT Manager
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brian Ferrill, and I am the Information Technology (IT) Manager for Warm Beach Senior Community (WBSC). My job responsibilities are to ensure that Warm Beach's IT needs are met in as efficient and secure manner as possible. My team and I, also provide technical support for the staff of Warm Beach Senior Community. We also provide some IT support to the residents. As part of providing for the needs of the facility, I oversee not only the workstations that the employees use, but also the network and internet connectivity. We also provide telephone service support and oversee the satellite TV system that is provided to the community.
I came to WBSC in 2016, figuring that I would just be here for a little while, and now I stay because I have come to love the work environment. Even though I am a curmudgeon, it is the people that I work with and the residents themselves that make this such a special place for me.
When I am not at work, you will probably find me spending time with my family. Or you will have to look outside of the country, because I do like to travel.
