Happy New Year to you! Is anyone else struggling with the fact that we are now several weeks into the year 2010!
Here are a few highlights Warm Beach Senior Community has experienced this past year:
- Welcomed 15 new residents to retirement living!
- Held our first Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction event raising over $5,500!
- Celebrated with resident, Jim Perin who received the prestigious Senior Star Award from Aging Services of Washington for his volunteer service at Warm Beach.
- Celebrated with resident, Luise Volta who received the 2009 Local Heroes Award from Bank of America for her volunteer service while living at Warm Beach. She chose Warm Beach Senior Community to be the recipient of a $5,000 grant from Bank of America Charitable Foundation. Luise was able to request the grant go towards the Samaritan Fund, which supports residents in Cedar Court who are in financial need.
- Launched an updated website for the community. With over 2,100 hits a month on the website, it is clear the internet has become one of the largest tools for us to reach you!
- Once again Warm Beach residents continue to participate in the community and give by serving others by donating over 28,000 hours of volunteer service.
- Warm Beach Health Care Center continues its commitment to providing excellent health care when residents have a need. WBSC received a 5 Star Rating from the Center for Medicare Services (CMS). This award is based on three significant criteria: Health Inspections, Staffing and Quality Measures.
- Warm beach developed an informative video allowing guests and other interested folks to catch a glimpse of community life and hear from residents who made the decision to live here. We would be happy to mail you or a friend a copy, if interested.
