Oh for a life at sea…or at least a four day sail from Seattle to Astoria, Oregon to Vancouver, BC and home again in September. Over 35 residents and family members plan to set sail with Executive Director Larry Foss and his wife to enjoy God’s creation of the beautiful Pacific Coast and for a time of fellowship with Warm Beach friends.
As you know, these waters are home to seals, sea lions, porpoises and numerous species of sea birds, as well as the killer (orca) whales. Astoria means a step back in time to the Lewis and Clarke with a visit to Fort Clatsop and how can you miss Butchart Gardens? The Butchart family transformed the Gardens from a barren rock quarry to what is now one of the world’s best known horticultural attractions, covering more than 55 acres.
