Warm Beach has come into contact with an organization that makes wooden toy cars for kids who don’t have much. They recently sent some to Afghanistan and a soldier said that before they got the cars, the kids were just playing with rocks. They want more toys to distribute. Are you interested in helping? University of Washington Nursing students will be in Beachwood Lounge on Monday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. to present an educational session on the use of POLST forms and 5 Wishes. POLST is the official document used for advance medical directives by Emergency Medical Technicians, and other medical professionals in the event of a medical emergency. 5 Wishes is a communication toll about end of life issues.

Please join us on Friday, July 23 at 1:30pm in Beachwood Lounge for a conversation with Mount Vernon Community Service Officer, Jon Skiffington. He will share how we can be aware of scams and avoid being a victim. Family and friends are welcome to attend this important meeting.

Walt Werme and Friends will be at Warm Beach Senior Community for a musical Fireside Program on Monday, July 26th at 7:00pm in Beachwood Lounge. Most of this group play together at the Camano Chapel. Walt is an award winning fiddle player. They do an assortment of Blue Grass, Country, Gospel and Celtic pieces. Refreshments will be served.

Oh for a life at sea…or at least a four day sail from Seattle to Astoria, Oregon to Vancouver, BC and home again in September.
