Friday Night Film on January 30th

Friday Night Film   January 30th at 6:30 p.m in Beachwood Lounge we will show “Amish Grace.” When a gunman killed five Amish children and injured five others in a Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania schoolhouse shooting in October of 2006, the world media attention rapidly turned from the tragic events to the extraordinary forgiveness demonstrated by the Amish community. Through the eyes of a grieving mother, Ida Graber, and other devastated families, this movie explores the Amish’s astonishing reaction to the horrific shootings – of forgiveness and compassion. 85-minutes, 2010.

Super Bowl XLIX Party in Beachwood Lounge

Super Bowl Party   on Sunday, February 1st.  Kick-off is at 3:30 p.m.  Bring a snack to share and watch the pre-game, game, and post-game with your friends.

Christian Advocates Sweetheart Breakfast

Christian Advocates Sweetheart Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd at 8:00 a.m.9:30 a.m. in Beachwood Lounge. Music will be provided by Arline Martin. Reservations are required, please sign up in the Volunteer Program Center. Please choose between Apricot French Toast or Frittata at time of reservations/payment. Potatoes, meat (bacon & sausage), fresh fruit, sweet rolls, drinks & fellowship are included. Cost is only $5.50 per person or $11 per couple.

Warm Beach Fellowship Antiques Roadshow

Warm Beach Fellowship  –  Come join us on Monday, February 9th for a fun fulled first ever Antiques Roadshow. We are anxious to see each other’s treasurer which could include jewelry, pottery, glassware, collectibles, needlework, wood items, books and anything you consider to be meaningful and interesting. Please bring your treasure to Beachwood between noon and 1:00 p.m. the day of the meeting and include a card or paper with your name, a brief history of your item and why it is meaningful to your. Looking forward to seeing you!

Important Resident Council Meeting, Tuesday, 2/10/15 at 2:00 p.m.

This is your opportunity to hear about pending Board of Trustee action relating to the future of the Sound View Project presented by Resident Council President Curtis Martin. You will have a chance to have your questions about this long-delayed project answered. Barbara Culley and members of her Administrative Team will report and take questions about policy and current operational issues at our Senior Community, including questions about the financial information presented at the recent Town Hall Meeting. Resident Council Committee Chairs will report.

All you can eat Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction

Mark your calendar for Saturday April 18th  –  Auction Viewing starts at 3:00 pm, and Dinner will be served from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. in Beachwood Lounge. Tickets are $10.00 per person – please see Sheila Bartlett or Cindy Traynor for your ticket.  If you have any new items you would like to donate, please contact Sheila Bartlett at 360-652-2645.

Shopping Bus

The 1st Tuesday of each month the bus will depart at 9:00 A.M. for Fred Meyer in Marysville and return at noon. Cost is $7 per person or $9 per household. The next trip is February 3, 2015.

Each Wednesday the free bus service will depart for shopping at 9:00 A.M. returning approximately at 11:00 A.M. February 4th to Haggen.
Each Thursday the free bus service will depart for shopping at 2:00 P.M. returning approximately 4:00 P.M. February 5th to QFC.

Ceramics

Brain Fitness Class
Every Tuesday and Thursday / 10:30 a.m.

Just like your body, your brain needs exercise! Brain Fitness is a class taking place in the Activities Room. This 30 minute class focuses on fun way to challenge your short term and long tern memory, auditory comprehension, written comprehension, problem solving, abstract reasoning, organizational skills and more.

Warm Beach Transportation

Let someone else do the driving for you. The Warm Beach bus goes to both East and West Stanwood for shopping and errands twice each week.

Sit Aerobics – Tuesday & Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

We know it’s good for us–join in with this fun group each week.

Men’s Bible Study – Every Tuesday / 7:00 p.m.

This group meets in the Craft Room on a weekly basis.
